Default about me

As a lifelong learner, I not only enjoy the adventure of exploring the possibilities of people, places, events, and especially celebrations, but also in sharing my new-found knowledge, skills, and triumphs with others. My favorite places to gather inspiration include world travel, USA through all means of transportation, my home library, the Stampin Connection, and ultimately, my crafting studio.

My love of learning began with my first memories of asking questions of my Dad at 3-4 years old when living in Mississippi, grew during my primary school days in Kent, England, my intermediate school days in Ayrshire, Scotland, my middle school years in Weber County, Utah, through my high school years in Portland, Oregon. My first college degree was pre-law/political science at the University of Oregon.  Then an unexpected adventure in teaching young teens about US history and world geography drew me into re-visiting the places of my youth, discovering new landscapes on the European continent, and culminating in a Master's degree of Geography. I taught in American public schools in several states and lived in Upstate New York for 14 years before moving to Eagle, Idaho where I now live and work.

My studio is located in my home, and is at ground level, accommodating those who are challenged to climb stairs. My collection of steel rule dies numbers in the hundreds, a reflection of my passion for creating learning environments through bulletin boards, interactive manilpulatives, and 3-D paper/cardstock projects. Teachers will find this a wonderful place to prepare for units in mathematics, science, social studies, and language arts. When supplies are bought through my Stampin' Up! online store, studio time is an added bonus. For those with their own supplies, using my equipment has an hourly fee. To maintain a sense of calm, focused, navigable work space, studio occupancy is limited to 5 persons besides myself, a total of 6 persons. Call for an appointment to peruse possiblities or to schedule a work session.
